Oracle Cloud Project Manager

 

This role is responsible for delivering projects to schedule, budget and quality for Oracle Cloud Applications.

 

Essential functions of the job:

 

Project Management

·        Successfully execute a project to agreed schedule, budget and scope

·        Good understand of Project Management and ITIL processes

·        Perform the project management processes - i.e. initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control and close

·        Understands and controls the supporting processes e.g. scope, cost, time, issue, risk, resource, communication, stakeholder management

·        Maintaining the project artefacts and financials

·        Lead the stand-ups, control the day to day activities

·        Monitor & control the work to ensure that the project remains on track and in control

·        Track and report on variances to the approved project baseline

·        Plan for and manage change, close the project to formalize acceptance of the project result and release project resources

·        Performs gate reviews and quality assurance reviews with all aspects of IT organization and business sponsors

·        Delivery of projects aligned to overall business and technology strategies and architectures

 

Quality Management

·        Good understanding of Quality Management System & CMMI Processes

·        Implement and Audit QMS @ the Project

·        Participate in internal and external CMMI project audits

 

Oracle Product Knowledge:

·        This role requires the knowledge of Oracle Cloud Applications. The knowledge of on-premise environments is recommended.

·        Candidate must have Oracle cloud product knowledge with an expertise in Financials, SCM, Projects, ePBCS and or EPM.

·        Candidate must have worked on minimum 2 Oracle cloud (Middleware or Applications) implementation or support projects.

·        Candidate should possess 8 to 10 years of experience in Oracle Cloud Applications and Oracle EBS Applications. 

 

Certification

·        Project Management Professional (PMP - PMI)

·        ITIL V4 is a plus

BIAS Corporation is looking for a senior technical person, having good knowledge in Oracle Applications Database version R12 with Core Oracle DBA skills on the latest version of Oracle Database or 11g. Must have prior experience in working 24/7 across multiple time zones. 

 

Required Technical Skills: 


·        Administering Oracle EBS (R12.x), Database (RAC-R12.x), WebLogic (R11g, R12c) and Enterprise Manager (R12c)

·        Experience in Application and database patching, cloning and upgrades

·        Experience in Oracle RAC, ASM, RMAN, Data Guard technologies

Role And Responsibilities
  • Monitor projects from initiation through delivery, including project management plans, risk management plans, resource plans, detailed project and work schedules, test plans, training plans and other project disciplines.
  • Define and manage project scope and objectives, may draft Scope of Work and preliminary pricing documents.
  • Monitor efforts to ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Own the cost containment, forecasting, revenue recognition and project’s overall financial health.
  • Provide delivery oversight for projects utilizing BIAS PMO standards for quality results and client satisfaction.
  • Manage communication plan including setting client expectations, internal communication, and external communication with vendors and partners.
  • Hold regular project status and planning meetings with internal and external stakeholders, account manager, and client to assess the health of the project.
  • Proactively identify project risks and develop plans to manage and monitor. Escalate and resolve issues quickly and effectively, as needed.
Required Skills And Experience
  • 5+ years of Project Management and delivery oversight of medium scale ($250K to $500K) implementations, upgrades and/or managed services with a similar consulting firm, software/technical provider, systems integrator, or Oracle Partner.
  • Proven experience managing and motivating a team of matrixed resources and cross-functional processes.
  • Comfort and experience in communicating with senior level executives, key stakeholders, and project team members, both informally and in formal presentations.
  • Outstanding customer service with attention to detail and effective follow-through.
  • Experience successfully managing implementations, migrations and upgrades for the Oracle suite of products focusing on database and middleware.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and MS Project, SmartSheet a plus.
