BIAS presents ground-breaking possibilities leveraging Internet of Things (IoT) – An i360Gov Special Report
Learn how BIAS is leveraging their IoT Still Structure Monitoring solution to better utilize public data to help save lives.
The seismically challenged city of Los Angeles is exploring the use of IoT sensors to monitor vibrations and better track the safety of bridges and other structures. Using real-time, cloud-based, advanced analytics and IoT sensor data, government executives can measure vibrations that would help federal, state and local organizations more closely monitor aging infrastructure, and better manage scarce resources — to improve safety and reduce the impact of road/bridge closures on drivers. BIAS Corp. recently launched its offering called the Internet of Things for Still Structure Monitoring to track and analyze the ongoing health of infrastructure including bridges, tunnels, buildings, dams, pipelines and railroads. This offering includes dashboards, advanced analytics and comprehensive integration capabilities to help states and localities connect municipal departments and other organizations such as local emergency, fire and police, weather, schools and hospitals. Engineers can use data collected to help determine when inspection or maintenance is required. IoT sensor information can also be used to notify emergency responders or analyze deterioration over time.
